Hey there, I'm Yana Alpert, a UX designer based in Atlanta. My journey into the world of design and technology began in Ukraine during my childhood. I've always been driven by a deep curiosity about human behavior and a passion for uncovering the truths that shape our experiences.

My mom played a pivotal role in guiding me toward a career in technology. She worked in a bank information center during the era of floppy disks and punch cards. When she gifted me my first computer at the age of five, I knew I was destined for a path in this field. I pursued my studies at Computer College in Ukraine, delving into both the physical and system aspects of computers while also developing my skills in design principles and analytical thinking.

Upon moving to the United States, I continued my educational journey and enrolled in General Assembly to specialize in UX design. This experience ignited a new passion within me, one focused on research, user interaction, and collaborative teamwork.

I'm a strong believer in the power of volunteering and its ability to contribute to the greater good. It's an avenue for making new friends, acquiring new skills, and exploring my interests and passions while giving back to my local community.

Now, as a mother, I aspire to pass on my love for technology and its capacity to enhance people's lives to my children. In my spare time, you'll find me cooking, running, biking, swimming, traveling, drawing, keeping a keen eye on design trends, staying updated with industry innovations, and collecting magnets for my fridge.
